The book tells the story of little Ru. Every time the girl visits her grandfather, they go together to explore the old cove near the cottage. But during her last visit, it suddenly turned out that grandfather could no longer walk with Ru as he used to – the path to the cove is too steep and winding. To keep his granddaughter from getting too upset, grandfather begins to tell stories from his life.
Ru understands that although they live close to the sea, now grandpa is cut off from it. What can be thought of to bring grandpa to the place he loves the most?
